Wilmington man pens book on surviving Dystonia
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Tom Seaman knows first hand the agony of a debilitating disease.
He suffers from a neurological movement disorder called Dystonia which causes muscles to involuntarily contract, and now he has written a book about his life called “Diagnosis Dystonia: Navigating the Journey.”
He says his journey is not unique and the book was written to help anyone seeking help with chronic health issues.
Seaman wrote the book to share his story of a chronic disease that led to feelings of grief, depression, fear, isolation and anxiety and says he hopes it “helps anyone suffering with disease”.
