Wilmington Police investigate deadly shooting that killed 44-year-old man
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 44-year-old man Saturday night.
Officers responded shortly before 10 p.m. to the 1500 block of South 12th Street after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police immediately began lifesaving efforts while additional units and first responders were called to the scene.
Despite those efforts, the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
Police have identified the victim as 44-year-old Titus Singleton of Wilmington.
The Wilmington Police Department says the investigation remains open and active. Anyone with information related to the shooting is asked to contact police at (910) 343-3600 or submit an anonymous tip through Tip411.
