Wilmington Police investigating death at downtown parking deck

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a death that occurred at the parking deck at North Front and North 2nd Street on Tuesday morning.

Both officers and first responders responded to a call of someone appearing to have a medical emergency.

WPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Ronald Evans confirmed the person has died, and there was no sign of foul play.

Evans also said there is no danger to the public.

The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
