Two juveniles arrested after a breaking and entering on a vacant home

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police are continuing to search for an additional suspect following a break-in at a vacant home on South 13th Street.

According to Wilmington Police, two 16-year-old juveniles were found inside the vacant home. One fled the area, but after officers searched the surrounding area, both juveniles were taken into custody.

Police are still actively searching for another suspect.

Officers blocked access near Ann Street between 16th Street and Ann Street as they searched the area. Nearby residents told WWAY they were instructed to remain inside their homes while officers conducted the search, which included K-9 units.

The investigation is ongoing.
