Wilmington sex offender returns to prison for decade

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man was sentenced to spend the next decade behind bars for sexually assaulting a child in 2015.

Ceasar Bozeman, 26, pleaded guilty in court Thursday to three counts of second degree rape and three counts of first degree kidnapping.

Bozeman was sentenced to at least 10 years in prison. Additionally, Bozeman will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

The sexual assaults that happened in 2015 involved a child who was known to Bozeman. As a result of the relationship with the child, the judge issued a permanent no contact order between Bozeman and the victim.

Bozeman was previously convicted of sexual battery in 2012 and was already a registered sex offender due to that conviction. That incident involved an adult victim.
