Wilmington woman sentenced for sex crimes against child
WILMINGTON, NC (StarNews) — Through tears, Christy Lynn Jaski pleaded guilty Tuesday in New Hanover County Superior Court to three counts of misdemeanor sexual battery involving a 14-year-old boy.
Jaski, 43, of Wilmington was arrested Feb. 9, 2015, and charged with three counts of felony indecent liberties with a child. Those charges were dismissed as part of her plea deal.
Assistant District Attorney Lance Oehrlein said Jaski kissed and groped the boy who at the time was in the process of being adopted from the Philippines by the Jaski family. The offenses occurred between December 2014 and January 2015.
