Woman accused of driving drunk into cemetery, damages tombstones

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Deputies say an Elizabethtown woman drove drunk in a cemetery, slamming into multiple tombstones earlier this week.

Allanda Darine Parrish, 66, is charged with five counts of disturbing a grave marker, one count DWI and one count reckless driving to endanger.

As of Thursday afternoon, she was still in Bladen County Jail under a $4,000 secured bond.

Bladen County Sheriff’s Office say Parrish caused an estimated $3,000 worth of damage to the Garden of Memories cemetery in Kelly.
