WPD investigating hit-and-run that injured two pedestrians
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run collision that injured two pedestrians on Aug. 29.
According to WPD, the incident happened around 11:15 p.m. near College Road and Fountain Drive.
Police said two men were walking along the side of College Road in the grass when a red sedan ran off the roadway and struck both pedestrians.
The driver fled into a nearby parking area before continuing onto Kerr Avenue, according to police.
WPD said the suspect vehicle has front-end damage and may also have damage to its windshield.
