Wilmington police officer receives big honor
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington Police Officer, who has made it her mission to go beyond her duties as an officer to help people, was named “Law Enforcement Officer of the Year”.
Officer Megan O’Bryan received the honor from the New Hanover County Law Enforcement Officers Association.
O’Bryan wrote on her Facebook page that she is beyond honored to receive this award but this isn’t just for her.
“This is for all the officers that do what I do,” said O’Bryan. “And there is so many at WPD. It’s because of all of us that Wilmington is a great place to live.”
