WPD releases photos of truck sought in fatal Wilmington pedestrian crash

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a white pickup truck believed to have struck and killed a pedestrian earlier this month.

The crash happened just before 2:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, along South 17th Street in Wilmington.

Police identified the pedestrian as 58-year-old Dexter Faulk.

The Wilmington Police Department Traffic Unit says investigators believe the vehicle involved was a white pickup truck. Police have released photos of the vehicle they say was involved in the crash.

Anyone with information about the driver or vehicle is asked to call Wilmington police at 910-343-3600. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Tip 411.

The investigation remains ongoing.
