WRAAP wants you to help them celebrate 10 years with a day of fun

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A non-profit that continues to help at-risk kids in the community is holding a 10 year anniversary celebration this weekend.

WRAAP, or Wilmington’s Residential Adolescent Achievement Place, wants the public to help them celebrate Saturday, October 28th.  Organizers say the event will include youth entertainment, youth panel discussions, appreciation cook-out, fun games & activities, as well as, music ministry and more. There will be an Electionsure’ album release party, and a youth summit that includes a panel discussion on a myriad of adolescent issues such as education, cyber-bullying, alcohol, drugs, gang awareness, early sexual activity, career choices, and crime.

Executive Director Daryl Dockery is a former WWAY Extraordinary Person of the Week.

The celebration will take place on Oct. 28, 2017 from 12 pm to 7 pm at Freedom’s Way Ministries located at 1952 Dawson Street in Wilmington.
