Wrightsville Beach to begin street paving project April 21

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Wrightsville Beach will begin a multi-phase paving project along South Lumina Avenue and North Channel Drive starting Tuesday, April 21, with work expected to continue through May 6.
The project includes milling and repaving portions of the roadway, along with curb and gutter improvements in key sections of the corridor.
According to town officials, the first phase of work will run April 21–24 and will focus on concrete curb and gutter construction. Milling and paving operations are scheduled for May 4–6.
Residents, property owners, and visitors in the area should expect temporary impacts throughout the project, including dust, noise, traffic delays, and limited driveway access during active construction periods.
Officials are also asking property owners along the route to pull back any artificial turf or similar landscaping materials at least two feet from the street edge prior to paving work. Motorists are encouraged to move vehicles when possible, to avoid dust from milling operations.
The town says temporary access restrictions to driveways may be necessary at times while crews complete work.
Additional information about the project is available on the Town of Wrightsville Beach website.
