Wrightsville Beach installing security cameras
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Wild behavior at Wrightsville Beach is making news around the state.
The town has allocated $10,000 to purchase surveillance cameras for the beach’s downtown area.
The cameras will have night-vision capabilities and are intended to beef up security in the area.
Town Manager Bob Simpson says the police department has been especially busy the past two weeks as vacationers flooded the beach for the Fourth of July holiday.
