Hampstead growth continuing with housing development plan
HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — A new housing plan is being put in place in Hampstead as the city continues to grow.
The planned development site is located between Hughes Road and Deerfield Drive along Highway 17.
The proposed plan is to build single and multi-family homes along with an access road to help alleviate some of the traffic.
Residents say they are excited to see growth and hope more businesses will come along with it.
“Well bringing businesses to this area would help a lot because right now we have to go into Wilmington and it’s a little bit of a drive to get into Wilmington.” Nancy Cimini, a resident of Hampstead, said.
If you want to learn more about the project or voice your opinion there’s a public input meeting Thursday.
The meeting will be held on November 3rd from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in room 214 of the Pender County Hampstead Annex Building.
