Santa arrives via helicopter and greeted by children

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It’s that time of the year again! The holidays are right around the corner and Santa Claus himself arrived via helicopter to the Independence Mall Saturday morning.

Kids were able to see him as he flew in from above and were able to sit with him afterwards.

The New Hanover High Marching Band played several Christmas tunes to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

Children lined up to have a picture taken with him along with telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas.

Santa will be at the mall from open until close now through Christmas Eve.
