16-year-old charged with murder in New Hanover County homicide investigation
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that happened early Sunday morning.
NHSO responded to a call for service at Meridian Village Apartments in the Northchase area.
The Sheriff’s Office said Nathaniel Turner, 27, was found dead in his apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
A 24-year-old woman was also shot multiple times and transported to Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
NHSO said she is in stable condition.
Detectives have arrested a 16-year-old on charges of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
