18th Annual Greek Festival underway
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Greek Festival kicked off today in Wilmington. The 18th annual event at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church on S. College Road features live music, Greek food and cooking classes.
Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for seniors and students. Anyone 12 and under gets in free. One paid admission gets you in for the entire weekend.
“The church wants everyone in town and around us to know about the culture of Greece,” festival director Betsy Fouros said. “So you have the cooking, the dancing, you have the music. So you get a whole feeling of what it’s like to be in Greece.”
The Greek Festival runs through Sunday.
