2 men die in Lincoln County wreck

LINCOLNTON, NC (AP) — Two men have been killed in a wreck in Lincoln County.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol says the wreck happened shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday on N.C. 10.

Officials say the victims were 33-year-old Eric Timothy Hicks of Yadkinville and 42-year-old Larry Cook of Vale.

Troopers say Hicks pickup truck ran off the road and overturned. Troopers estimate the truck was going between 60 and 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.
