$20,000 grant will help local students in health care careers

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — The Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation now has more money to help students progress in the health care industry.

Spokesman James Goss says the DMHF has received a $20,000 grant from The Noren Foundation, a private foundation focused on education.

Goss says The Dosher Foundation has received a total of $70,000 from The Noren Foundation over the past four years. The grant supports scholarships for Brunswick Community College students who are pursuing health care careers.  It also helps with professional development and training needs within Dosher Memorial Hospital.
