2016 Azalea Festival art unveiled

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — It certainly felt like spring today in Wilmington, and it also looked a little like it at Thalian Hall.

That’s where the Azalea Festival unveiled the official art for next year’s big event.

The print is called “Springtime on the Cape Fear” from artist Mary Ellen Golden. It gives a view of the Wilmington skyline up the Cape Fear River from behind an azalea.

You’ll see it all over the 69th Annual Azalea Festival, which runs April 6-10, 2016.
