Fantasy Football bet leaves Wilmington man in Waffle House for 24 hours

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —¬†As the NFL Playoffs begin that means the Fantasy Football season is over. At this point, you’re either still bragging to your friends and coworkers about your championship, like our director JR Quitman or you’re still wondering what could have been if Alvin Kamara didn’t get a concussion. But I’m not bitter. For one wilmington fantasy footballer, he has to think about his loss for 24 straight hours.

So we take you over to the Waffle House on College Road in Wilmington where Justin Poliachik will be spending a lot of his time. In fact, he will be spending 24 hours starting from 7 p.m. this evening to 7 p.m. tomorrow.

That was the terms of his fantasy football league for the loser of the season and unluckily for Justin, it’s him.

He said the early injury to the Giant’s Odell Beckham Jr. cost him dearly and left his team in the out house, or should I say, the Waffle House.

“I did not think I was going to lose,” Poliachik said. “I’m a little anxious and just want to get this over with. I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, literally since the beginning of the season. I hope this sitting sucks worse than my fantasy team did.”

Now Justin does have the opportunity to shorten his stay at the Waffle House by eating what else but waffles! Each waffle counts as 20 minutes off his time.

Good luck Justin!
