New cranes wait off Brunswick Co. coast before delivery at port
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two new cranes are waiting to make their way to the Port of Wilmington.
The Neo-Panamax cranes arrived off the coast of North Carolina over the weekend. You can see them offshore of Oak Island.

They will officially make their way up the Cape Fear River Thursday. During that time, a portion of the river will be closed to recreational and commercial boaters.
The new cranes will allow the port to accommodate two ultra-panamax vessels side-by-side.
