School district approves GoFundMe for track repairs at Topsail High

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A month ago WWAY told you about some community members in Pender County raising money for the track at Topsail High School.

The school board now has approved the GoFundMe for it.

All of the funds will go to the nonprofit Topsail Track and Field Association.

They are trying to raise the money by July 1 to guarantee work in the summer.

They’ve raised a few thousand dollars so far but say they need more help.
