Some American Airlines flights cancelled at ILM due to technical issue

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — If you or someone you know has a flight booked on American Airlines today, check your flight’s status before you head out the door.

American Airlines announced that their regional carrier, PSA Airlines, experienced a technical issue that cancelled flights last night and this morning.

They are working on the problem and hope to have it fixed by noon.

Several flights in and out of Wilmington International to Charlotte have been cancelled as a result.

WSOC reports that thousands of passengers are stranded at Charlotte-Douglas Internation Airport. There were roughly 275 flights canceled, with about 120 of them in Charlotte.
