Woman injured in downtown Wilmington shooting
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington woman is in critical condition this morning after a shooting downtown, according to police.
Around 2:30 a.m Sunday a Shotspotter alert activated in the 300 block of Market Street.
Police have identified the victim as 25-year-old Shaquilla Gresham. They say she remains hospitalized Sunday evening.
They say she pulled her car off the road, got out and was shot. Wilmington Police responded to the area, found the victim and gave first aid until EMS arrived.
