New mayor takes oath of office in Sunset Beach

SUNSET BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Town of Sunset Beach has a new mayor.

The town posted on its Facebook page announcing Dr. Greg Weiss was sworn in as Sunset Beach mayor at Monday night’s council meeting.

In March, former mayor Robert Forrester resigned after the controversial decision by the town council, to fire the town’s administrator.
