Suspect wanted for robbing New Hanover County gas station

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an armed robbery suspect.

It happened Tuesday morning at the Circle K on 6648 Gordon Rd.

The robbery took place shortly after 1:00 a.m.

According to a news release, the suspect entered the store, walked up to the cashier, appeared to have a weapon in his jacket and demanded cash.

After receiving cash from the cashier the suspect left the store. It’s believed he took off in a vehicle.

The suspect is a black male with a grey goatee wearing a black coat, grey pants, and a black beanie hat.
