An Eastern Carolina high school not only got a shout-out from a musical superstar, but a large check to fund its marching band.

The Manilow Music Project has distributed more than $10 million in instruments and funds nationwide, and this year East Duplin High School won $100,000 for new instruments and band uniforms from the project.
