County identifies ‘concerning’ COVID-19 outbreak at Leland congregate living facility
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Health Services reports a “concering” COVID-19 outbreak at Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health in Leland.
One facility resident and 10 employees have received positive test results for the virus, the county says.
As of July 14, there are 828 positive cases of COVID-19 among county residents (377 considered recovered, 428 isolating, 13 hospitalized, 10 deaths) and 14 cases among non-residents (1 isolating in county, 8 considered recovered, 3 transferred monitoring to home county, 2 deaths).
The county reports six people, including one employee, has died due to the virus at at Universal Health Care of Brunswick.
