Eastern NC deputies help rescue baby owl

CRAVEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Law enforcement is “hoo” you can call for emergencies but apparently for an owl rescue too.

The Craven County Sheriff’s Office is getting praise for helping to rescue a fluffy white baby owl.

The owlet is now in the care of the Tails of Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary. The rehab center in Hubert specializes in helping small mammals, songbirds, waterfowl, raptors, shorebirds, and reptiles.
