One taken to hospital following afternoon shooting in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington police responded to a shooting Thursday afternoon.

WPD says it happened around 2:50 p.m. near 6th and Nixon streets.

A man was taken to the hospital. No word on his condition.
