LELAND, NC (WWAY)–It was a game that Hoggard’s Icess Tresvik will never forget. The Viking senior threw a perfect game and hit a homerun as Hoggard picked up the 11-0 win over the North Brunswick Scorpions.
It was also a huge offensively for catcher Sydney Short, she went 2-3 with a homerun and 4 RBI’s.
“Our team this year is very aggressive, “says Tresvik. “We’re very matured as hitters and we’re attacking the ball early in the count. We are just going to try to maintain that through the whole season. Then hopefully in the playoffs and at states.”
The win improves Hoggard’s record to now (5-0), while North Brunswick drops to 2-3. The Vikings have a huge game on Thursday night when they welcome in undefeated Topsail to Wilmington.
