Deputies investigating armed robbery at ATM

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Deputies with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a man who robbed a woman at an ATM at gunpoint.

Deputies said it happened Thursday just before 8 p.m. at an ATM in the 2600 block of Castle Hayne Road. They said the robber walked up behind her, pointed a gun and demanded money. The victim told deputies when the machine timed out and returned her card, the robber grabbed it and ran off.
