Police searching for moped-driving robber


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating a robbery where a victim claims he was tased and robbed by a man who escaped on a moped.

Police say the robbery happened just after 7 a.m. Wednesday morning at the intersection of 30th and Hurst Streets.

The victim, who called 911, said the suspect was a male wearing a blue shirt and pants, and got away on a moped. The victim’s money was taken during the robbery.

The victim was not seriously injured and no arrests have been made at this time.
