Wanted fugitives arrested in Holly Ridge
HOLLY RIDGE, NC (WWAY) — Two fugitives wanted for murder and conspiracy out of Baltimore are behind bars after being arrested in Holly Ridge.
The U.S. Marshals Service E/NC Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Christoper Matthew Wilkins, Jr, 32, and Angel Margaret Fury, 27, at a home on Highway 50 around 11:30 this morning.
A spokesperson with the U.S. Marshal Service says Wilkins and Fury were wanted by the Baltimore City Police Department for First Degree Homicide and Conspiracy to commit Homicide, related to an incident that happened in Baltimore on Tuesday.
The U.S. Marshals in Baltimore forwarded information to the Wilmington office that Wilkins and Fury may be hiding in the Holly Ridge area. That’s where Marshals in Wilmington located and arrested the duo.
Wilkins and Fury are being held without bond at the New Hanover County Detention Center as fugitives from justice.
They are awaiting extradition to Maryland.
