3 teens killed, 1 injured in Wake County crash
WAKE FOREST, NC (AP) – The North Carolina Highway Patrol says
three teens have been killed a fourth has been critically injured
in a wreck in northern Wake County.
Patrol communications officer Sue Jackson says 16-year-old
Austin Flowers was driving when his car ran off the road and
crashed into a tree about 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
The four youths were leaving an event at Rolesville Baptist
Church. All four attended Wake Forest-Rolesville High School.
Jackson says the victims were Flowers and 16-year-old Lane
Meyers, both of Wake Forest, and 17-year-old Matthew Speight of
Raleigh.
Sixteen-year-old Brendon Pearce of Wake Forest was flown to
WakeMed hospital where he was listed in critical condition early
Monday.
