Hampstead’s Smith Field receives big donation

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) —  Pender County’s Hampstead Kiwanis Park just received a big donation.

According to the county’s Facebook page, Pender County Commissioner David Williams, Planning Director Kyle Breuer and Parks and Recreation Director Dee Turner met with Pluris Holdings’ Maurice Gallarda last week.

The company donated $35,000 to go toward lighting for the parks Smith Field. Pluris Holdings is installing a sewer line along US 17 in Hampstead.
