NHC residents enjoy free admission at the arboretum

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County residents are getting a chance to enjoy the outdoors today.

The first Sunday of each month means free admission to various attractions. Today, residents could visit Airlie Gardens, the Cape Fear Museum, and the New Hanover County Arboretum.

Visitor Arnis Udris used the opportunity to practice photography, with a friend, at the arboretum.

“We like exercising and walking and we like nature, so we combined the two and today added the third reason and that is photography,” Udris said.

Residents and students just need to show an ID to participate in the free admission days.
