Hammerheads celebrate aboard USS Battleship North Carolina

WILMINGTON, NC (HAMMERHEADS) — Wilmington Hammerheads FC will be celebrating 20 seasons on Wednesday, April 20th, aboard the USS North Carolina Battleship, from 6-9pm.

Join the Hammerheads as they celebrate 20 wonderful years as the only professional sports team in the Port City! Enjoy live music with local musician extraordinaire, Ray Cox, exciting games, and free Hammerheads SHOOTOUT- Session IPA brought to you by Lonerider. “Kick” back at this family friendly event with past and present Hammerhead players! Free food will be provided by Farmin’ on Front.

The Wilmington Hammerheads was founded in 1996 by Al Pastore. Al continues to be an active participant with the Hammerhead organization. Along with Al, Bill Rudisill, former owner, and long-time coach, David Irving, have continued to support the Wilmington Hammerheads, throughout the years; enduring tough seasons and great achievements.

The Hammerheads General Manager, Jason Arnold, elaborated on what it means to be a part of this longstanding organization. “Being with the Hammerheads over the past several years I have witnessed incredible support from the Wilmington community. The organization displays nothing but professionalism in the players, as well as everyone behind the scenes. It is a great organization to be a part of and I can’t wait to see what the future brings.”
