4,000 gallons of sewage spilled in Leland neighborhood

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — The town of Leland has reported a discharge of thousands of gallons of untreated wastewater in one of their large neighborhoods.

A town spokeswoman said on Saturday, 4,000 gallons spilled in Magnolia Greens. The town said 2,000 gallons spilled at Kobus Court and the other 2,000 spilled near 1351 Grandiflora Drive. The sewage was then discharged into Jackeys Creek, the news release said.
