$500,000 bond for suspect in Brunswick Co. church break-ins

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County man is in jail charged with breaking into two churches.

Deputies say Charles Joseph Williams, 41, took a safe and a container of coins from Oak Grove Baptist Church, and a bag of pennies Harvest Fellowship Church September 1.

Williams is charged with larceny and breaking and entering a place of worship among other charges.

He is in jail under $500,000 secured bond.
