6th Annual Salty Paws Festival helps pets find homes

CAROLINA BEACH (WWAY) — Today crowds of humans and animals came out to Carolina Beach lake for the 6th Annual Salty Paws Festival.

Folks were able to shop for their furry friends, as a variety of vendors offered everything from toys, to collars, to clothing for animals of all shapes and sizes. Adoptions services also had booths, where people could take home a new member of the family.

The festival stresses the importance of adopting pets rather than buying them. All proceeds from the event go directly towards taking care of and treating neglected and abandoned animals.
