70,000 gallons of sewer water spills onto highway near Whiteville

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — The City of Whiteville says about 70,000 gallons of untreated waste water spilled on Sam Potts Highway.

The city says a contractor ruptured a sewer line.

Crews began clean-up immediately. Repairs are underway to fix the sewer line.
