WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County 911 Center released the calls from a Sunday night murder at a Wilmington motel.

Investigators said 36-year-old Damiera James Tiesman was shot to death at the Carolinian Inn on Market Street.

Witnesses said they heard a disturbance from one of the rooms. Then, they heard multiple gun shots. You can hear that in this 911 call.

“There’s shots firing in room 139,” the caller said. “Please hurry. Please hurry.”

“How many people are in there?” the operator asked.

“I ran out,” the caller said. “There’s two in there. One guy’s got a gun.”

The caller says the guy pulled out a big gun.

“It looked like a silver revolver,” the caller said.

The 911 caller also said her boyfriend was in the room. The caller said a black man kicked the door in.

“All I know is his name is D,” the caller said.

Witnesses said they heard 3-5 gunshots.

“He’s wearing a black hoodie with Piggly Wiggly on it,” the caller said.

Police are still looking at possible suspects, however no arrests have been made at this time.
