9th Annual Back Door Kitchen Tour held Saturday
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The 9th Annual Back Door Kitchen Tour was held in downtown Wilmington Saturday.
The residents of Old Wilmington hosted the event opening the kitchens of historic homes to visitors.
All proceeds from the tour go to back into our community and are used to fund grants for Wilmington non profits.
There were 9 houses featured along with a garden.
Denise Zieschang and her husband are the caretakers of 312 S. 3rd Street. She said there are all types of houses on the tour “from a teeny tiny home on Front Street to houses that are almost 5000 square feet.”
This year’s tour is dedicated to the memory of Dolly Humphrey Pearson.
The beautiful houses along with the nice weather brought hundreds of people to the tour.
The Residents of Old Wilmington hope to continue hosting the event in years to come.
