Winter Weather Advisory expires for Southeastern NC
SOUTHEASTERN NC (WWAY) — The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 10am for Bladen, Columbus, Pender, and Robeson counties for accumulating light freezing drizzle.
The advisory is now expired.
Patchy areas of black ice on highways and roadways are expected this morning through 10 am. This can cause roads to be slick and have dangerous conditions.
WWAY has received several storm reports of patchy black ice causing many accidents earlier this morning.
Observations were noted to the National Weather Service of freezing drizzle across Inland Pender, Columbus, Bladen and Robeson counties around 7 am.
All wintry precipitation has ended.
Highs today will reach into the 40s so an accumulation of ice will melt early.
