New grocery store proposed for S. College Road

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A developer is proposing a new grocery store off South College Road in Wilmington.

The 46,031 square foot store is sketched on Bragg Drive behind the Bank of America on South College and just up the street from Food Lion. The proposal does not say what kind of grocery store it will be, and the developer did not return our phone calls.

Wilmington’s Technical Review Committee will discuss the plans at a meeting on Feb. 19, when we are told the store’s name might come up.
