Deputies: Man in jail under $1M bond for Hampstead break-ins

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) –Deputies with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office say a man is facing charges in connection with numerous vehicle and home break-ins in the Hampstead area.

Deputies say Jeffrey Amorin, 31, is facing charges including first degree burglary and felony possession of stolen goods; he’s in jail under a $1 million bond. He’s facing more than 20 charges in connection with the incidents.

Deputies say Amorin was arrested after a citizen reported a suspicious person in the Whitebridge Community. Investigators say they are now looking into Amorin’s possible connection to other break-ins in the area.
