CFPUA outage scheduled for area near Downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A spokesman with the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority says a water outage is scheduled for parts near downtown Tuesday.

Mike McGill said in a news release the outage will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and a precautionary Boil Water Advisory will follow.

The outage covers the following area:

• Red Cross, North 7th, 8th and McRae streets: 500, 600 & 700 blocks
• Campbell Street: 600, 700 & 800 blocks
• Hanover Street: 700 block
• Brooks Alley: all

McGill said Douglass Academy will not be affected by the outage. The outage will affect approximately 150 residential and 13 commercial customers, McGill said.
