Friday’s 503 pounder at Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournament gets edged out Saturday

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY – Friday 11:40pm)  — It’s a big one. The crew of the J&B boat is still celebrating. With one day remaining their big catch on Friday is the first place fish in the 42nd Annual Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournament. UPDATE 9:05pm Saturday — Due to the points system “Piracy” claims first place in the 42nd Annual Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournament. “Piracy” released two blue marlins on Saturday. Each is worth 400 points. That gives “Piracy” the win with 800 points over “J&B” with 503 points for their catch on Friday. “Reeler” was awarded third place with one sailfish and one blue marlin.

The three day event wrapped up Saturday evening.
